Board members are the decision makers of the Moraga Park Foundation. Among our activities, board members attend monthly meetings to participate in discussions involving town park and recreation activities, review and approve past, present and future finances, and discuss and vote on project funding proposals from the Town and community that are beneficial to our parks and recreation. Prerequisites for board membership are your desire to participate in park and recreation improvements in Moraga and the surrounding community. You must also be a present or past resident of Moraga, Canyon, Lafayette or Orinda. The desire to serve in a board leadership position and previous fundraising experience is a plus.
The Moraga Park Foundation is also always looking for volunteers to help with our projects! Annual projects include the Moraga Summer Concert Series on Thursday evenings from June to August and the annual Pear Harvest usually on the first weekend of August. We also have one-time projects from time to time that may benefit from volunteer assistance. A necessary prerequisite is only your desire to benefit the Moraga Park Foundation and the parks and recreational opportunities for your community.
