The Moraga Trails Challenge is sponsored by the Moraga Park Foundation.  The program is offered free to Lamorinda residents. This is a self-guided hiking program that gives people an incentive to discover their local parks, while promoting fitness through enjoyable outdoor exercise.
Participants can get their trails guide and trails challenge log at the Moraga Park & Recreation Department at the Hacienda de las Flores, or online at Trails Challenge Log.  The trails guide booklet has detailed trail descriptions, for hikes in local parks or open spaces.  Hikes range from easy to challenging.

To complete the challenge, participants are asked to explore at least five of the trails in the guide, cover a distance of at least 10 miles – and submit a trail log.  Completed logs can be submitted to the Moraga Park & Rec. Dept.  Participants will receive a commemorative water bottle; one bottle per person while supplies last.  The honor system applies.

There are many beautiful trails and paths around the Town of Moraga. This guide describes local trails, including their location, length and level of difficulty.
